about Washington DC and it's metro area- UNDER CONSTRUCTION
If you are curious about my DC list (including places I still need to try) while this page is being filled out, here is the Google Docs link… DC List by Katie Coriell
dc Breweries & beer bars
ChurchKey - LOVE this beer bar! Must stop for any craft beer lover visiting DC.
Bluejacket - great food and good beers.
Right Proper Brewing Co - Love the Shaw location, and they always have a new beer or two that I highly enjoy.
DC Rrestaurants
Le Diplomate - Get the scallops. Thank me later.
Founding Fathers - loved their lobster Mac & cheese! Multiple locations around the metro area.
Lucky Buns - amazing/unique sandwiches and burgers! Definitely a repeat destination. Go early to avoid the wait and get a seat quickly.
DC Bars
Morris American Bar - Great craft cocktails for $12!! Beautiful mid-century modern space.
Jack Rose Dining Saloon - If you love whisky, you have to go here! And don't forget that they have a cellar room, rooftop, and a tikibar in the summer. Oh and their fried Mac & cheese bites are wonderful!
Archipelago - Tiki bar. Go for Happy Hour because drinks aren't cheap here.
DC Coffee shops and Dessert stops
Dolcezza - delicious gelato at various locations around the city. Coffee available too.
Georgetown Cupcakes - So far, these are my favorite cupcakes in the metro area but I definitely still have many more places to check out. Check their menu for the monthly and daily specials.
Baked & Wired - Georgetown cupcake, desserts, and coffee shop. I don't like their cupcakes as much as Georgetown Cupcakes, but loved the other baked goods and the amazing hot chocolate.
